Vocational Education & Training

The Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) is the largest provider of vocational education and training in the ACT. CIT offers over 90 programs to international students across five faculties with qualifications ranging from Statement of Attainment to Degree level.

Our programs are designed for people who want to study for a career, gain new skills, change careers or prepare for further study. CIT is a leader in TAFE with 89% of our graduates either employed or in further study after completing their training.

Canberra Schools

Vocational Education & Training

Most colleges offer vocational education programs and have Registered Training Organisation (RTO) status. This allows colleges to offer and deliver vocational education courses and services and issue nationally recognised qualifications through the Board of Senior Secondary Studies.

The CIT recognises competencies done as part of a nationally accredited course at the school or college. CIT may also give credit to students who have successfully completed vocational courses as part of their college study.
