advancement in hundreds of academic disciplines.
The city's two large tertiary institutions are The Australian National University (ANU) and University of Canberra (UC), and collectively enrol around 5,700 tertiary international students in undergraduate, graduate coursework and graduate research programs.

College and UC College, both of which are located on their respective university campuses, cater for overseas
students that seek academic and English language pathways to mainstream campus degree programs.
Signadou,
named after the "Sign of God" (Signe de Dieu) is a campus of the Australian
Catholic University (ACU National), and focuses on degrees in Education, Nursing, Social Science, Social Work, Teaching and Theology.
Tertiary level vocational education is also available through the multi-campus Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT), which offers recognised qualifications from Certificate to Associate Degree, and up to postgraduate level.
In addition to its comprehensive primary and secondary schooling system, the ACT Department Education and Training (DET)'s International Education Unit offers a range of special programs designed for international students attending Canberra schools. |
